America Reads
America Reads & Counts at Community Impact is one of 1,200 chapters at colleges and universities nationwide. Volunteer tutors serve at NYC local public schools, PS 125, CS 154 and PS 175, in the Morningside Heights and West Harlem communities. Tutors provide both daytime in-class assistance and after school one-on-one tutoring for students in grades K-5. Tutors work to actively improve literacy and math skills in the classroom, provide homework help, and instill a joy of learning. Volunteers work between 2-15 hours per week during an academic year.
