Legacy Giving
This Spring, Community Impact is launching PUSH—a campaign to Power Up Service and Hope across Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood. One important component is a call to action: help us build a stronger future by investing in long-term impact through our Legacy Giving Program.
Why Legacy Giving?
Planned gifts are a lasting way to support CI's mission of cultivating student leaders and serving our neighbors. Through the Legacy Giving Program, you ensure that the power of community service continues to thrive for generations.
PUSH and Legacy Giving: How They Work Together
SHORT TERM
- PUSH Student Ambassadors: Honoring Legacies, Inspiring Futures
Student leaders, recent GVA Fellows, and former CI Executives will share how CI has shaped their leadership journeys—and legacy gifts keep these journeys possible. With support from current and former Board Members and staff, this initiative celebrates intergenerational commitment and invites the next wave of changemakers to continue the legacy.
MEDIUM TERM
- PUSH Forward Giving Challenge: A Legacy of Action
During the Spring campaign, we'll invite alumni, community members, and supporters to make a planned gift or monthly donation through the Legacy Giving Program. Gifts can be made in honor of mentors, moments, or movements that matter—fueling the next generation of service leaders.
LONGER TERM
- CI Impact Circles: Past, Present, PUSH
These small gatherings will feature legacy donors, student leaders, Board Members, and past staff in conversation about CI's impact over time. Each Circle will highlight how planned giving sustains our mission and serve as a launching pad for continued giving and engagement.
