Best Buddies
Best Buddies is an international nonprofit organization that seeks to advocate and empower those with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
As our chapter is reemerging at Columbia, we are calling on all of you to step up to the mission of spreading inclusion on our campus. We are dedicated to establishing a volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, inclusive living, family support, and leadership development for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our emerging chapter serves as a platform to bring people together in support of this mission, encouraging participants to join in unity with those with IDDs. IDD affects all people regardless of socio-economic status, education, race, ethnicity, or nationality- which is why our work has no boundaries.
By supporting us, we can plan greater, campus-wide events to bring in Buddies around New York City to Columbia. With your support, you not only support individuals of the IDD community directly, but also the expansion of ourselves to different walks of life.
