Support

Community Impact relies on the generosity of donors like you to deliver its educational and social services programs in Upper Manhattan. Launched in 1981, we have grown into the largest service organization at Columbia University. Our successful growth is a testament to the immense need for our work among low-income children and families in Morningside Heights, Harlem, and Washington Heights.

Your support helps us respond to this need. You can support CI by donating on this site or attending the annual CI Gala Benefit Auction.

Today Community Impact serves over 8,000 low-income Upper Manhattan residents annually in four program areas:

  • Youth mentoring and tutoring
  • Adult education and job training
  • Health advocacy and education
  • Emergency shelter and hunger relief services

As we look to the future, we are committed to responding to these needs. We will strengthen our role as a leading service agency in the Upper Manhattan safety net with your support, provide a bridge between the University and its surrounding neighborhoods, and equip our student volunteers with the skills to become successful leaders.
