Overview

Community Impact represents one of the many on-campus student governing boards at Columbia University to provide a home for all community service groups. The student portion of Community Impact is run primarily by seven elected Student Executives who oversee all CI programming, coordinators, and volunteers. The Student Executives work closely with the CI staff to facilitate operations at Community Impact.

Student Executive Responsibilities

The Community Impact Student Executive Board strives to support CI’s mission of advancing the public good by engaging Columbia University students in high-quality service. The Student Executive Board works closely with the CI undergraduate group program coordinators, the Board of Directors, Staff, the partner agencies, and Columbia University administration and faculty to improve CI and community service at Columbia. The Student Executive Board is highly collaborative and shares many responsibilities. Student Executives spend time on shared responsibilities, including advising CI groups, attending weekly meetings, and assisting as needed in all CI events.
